The crushing process takes place between a ixed and a moving jaw. The moving jaw dies CONE AND GYRATORY are mounted on a pitman that has a recipro- CRUSHERS cating motion. The jaw dies must be replaced regularly due to wear. Both cone and gyratory crushers have an oscil- lating shaft.
The first considerations are at what point in the process the crusher will be used, the type of material, and the output required. Use the table below as a guide. Cone crushers resemble gyratory crushers from the technological standpoint, but unlike gyratory crushers, cone crushers are popular in secondary, tertiary, and quaternary crushing stages. Sometimes, however, the grain size of the processed material is small enough by nature and the traditional primary crushing stage is not needed.
Figure 7–7 Aggregate flow through crushers. The Crushing Cycle Atypical flow of stone through a primary jaw crusher and a secondary roll crusher is illus-trated in Figure 7–7. Notice that the output of the primary crusher is separated by screen-ing and the larger stone is sent to the roll crusher. The output of both crushers is further
The chief difference between cone and gyratory or jaw crushers is the nearly parallel arrangement of the mantle and the cone at the discharge end in the cone crusher. This is illustrated in Figure 5.2. Reduction ratios in the following ranges are common for cone crushers: 6:1
Aggregate Plant Daily Inspection designed for both Wash Plant and Crushing Plant. Examination areas in each checklist include Guarding, Electrical, Site Conditions, Machinery, Wash Plant, Housekeeping and Fire Protection. Mine Safety Books and Checklist are used in metal and non-metal mines: Coal, Sand, Gravel, Shell Dredging, Surface Stone,::: Aggregate Products
Typically, the minimum setting on most primary crushers will be about 4 to 6 inches, as noted above. Compression-style jaw, cone, impact crushers, and gyratory crushers are most often appropriate as primary crushing equipment types, though there can be overlap between primary and secondary crushers as far as suitable types. 2. Secondary Crushing.
crusher. Primary Crusher — The first crusher in a crushing system into which material is fed. Succeeding crushers in the system are referred to as secondary or tertiary crushers. Product — Output from the crusher. Reduction Ratio — The ratio of the top size of input material to the top size of crusher discharge.

Cone crushers have been used as primary, secondary and tertiary crushers for quite a long time. They are widely employed for crushing hard and abrasive materials in both the aggregate and mining industries. Designed especially for the hardest material types, cone crushers are one of the best choices for crushing river gravel, basalt and granite
HST CONE CRUSHER HST series single cylinder cone crusher with hydraulic-driven system is a kind of new type high efficient crushing. It is widely used in primary crushing, secondary crushing, tertiary crushing and fine crushing. 12.
Cone crusher basics in 4 minutes. This is the starting point for understanding how cone crushers work – and how they can make your mine or quarry more productive. Elsewhere on the site you can find detailed information about all aspects of crushing and screening, but to make sense of these it helps to understand the basics of cone crushing.
Stone Crusher. Processing capacity: 1-1000t/h Feeding size: ≤1200mm Applied material: limestone, granite, cobble, dolomite, bluestone, iron ore, construction waste, glass, cement clinker, etc The Handling Materials and Applicaiton of Stone Crusher: Stone crusher, including primary crusher and secondary crusher, is mainly used for crushing various ores and bulk materials with compression
Cone crushers are used for intermediate and fine crushing after primary crushing. The key factor for the performance of a cone type secondary crusher is the profile of the crushing chamber or cavity. Therefore, there is normally a range of standard cavities available for each crusher, to allow selection of the appropriate cavity for the feed
Application:Primary crushing. Feeding size:210-1020mm. Capacity:5-800tph. MORE CHAT ONLINE. This production line is one of classic design for crushing. With the unique vortex type three crushing cavities of the impact crusher, it produces the final product of high quality aggregate with character of uniformity in size and cubical in shape.
Cone crushers – capacities available to suit all secondary, tertiary or quarternary crushing ap-plications. High performance technology. Impact crushers – primary and secondary machines for soft and medium-hard materials. High reduction ratios. Can eliminate need for a tertiary crushing stage. Spare and wear parts – genuine parts always
The aggregates were collected from two different types of crushers (i) the first crusher had jaw, cone and vertical shaft impactor (VSI) as primary, secondary and tertiary crushers, respectively; and (ii) the second crusher had jaw, horizontal shaft impactor (HSI) primary and secondary crushing unit, respectively.
The degree to which material is reduced through stages of primary, secondary, and tertiary crushing can depend on the type of material, like aggregate, concrete, and asphalt, and can also depend on the variety of output sizes needing produced. Primary crushing is the first stage of material reduction and can sometimes be the only stage needed

The 2S crushing consisted of primary and secondary crushers as Jaw and HSI (horizontal shaft impactor), respectively, while 3S crushing was composed of primary, secondary and tertiary crushers as
CXT CONE CRUSHER CRUSHER-SCREENING COMBINATIONS The Screen Machine CXT Cone Crusher is designed to match up as a secondary crusher to the Screen Machine primary JXT/JHT Jaw Crushers or the 4043T Impact Crusher. That is, the oversize in the output could be recirculated through the roll crusher without exceeding the rated capacity of the crusher. Then all material leaving that crusher with a 1-in. setting would be of a minus 1-in. size. Another possible solution to this problem would be to use a gyratory crusher for the primary crushing stage.

primary crushing plant on solid rock reduces the cost of concrete and structural steel. Life of Mine/Expansion Plans The life of the mine is a key element in the design of any crushing plant. Short-term mine lives (three to eight years) require a very careful approach to design, layout and construction. Since the
