Hi Peter, I was looking to buy a rock crusher for some time and found them expensive for what I needed and not many used ones showing up in classifieds. Ultimately settled for a small $100 hand crusher to sample some rocks I find on adventures to see if there is any gold. Hope you have better luck than I did.

I just purchased a DFC #2 crusher. I would be really interested in the specs that you mentioned in your manual. It appears to be all there but the babbit bearings will have to be replaced. Also am going to be using a single phase motor so would appreciate the HP and speed required. THANKS
The inlet angle would likely be fine at 120 degrees, but lve never built a crusher from scratch, lve only ever modified them. Do a search on crushers in this forum and you should find a huge amount of information about what does and doesn''t work and why. At 90 degrees rock just gets stuck a lot, even stuff you would think would be fine.

Hi Rock. You''re right there. Crushers like the Red Rhino are quite expensive. I imported the jaw crusher for my unit from India. It wasn''t that expensive to import. You may also find inexpensive chinese jaw crushers as well from local importers. The 2 cylinder aircooled diesel engine was a new chinese one I found on the Internet.
